Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's fast-moving world, having a healthy and fit body is a miracle. People eat junk food and frozen meals because of the convenience it provides. To over come their side effects and fullfil body's dietry needs people rely on vitamins and nutrition suppliments such as pills and protin powders. This essay will discuss the factors which are responsible for this trend and steps which could influence people to consume healthy food rather than taking pills.
To begin with, people choose vitamin pills over a healthy diet because of dietary gaps due to a busy lifestyle. Nowadays, many people spend mejority of their day time at their workplace; therefore, it become difficult for them to cook food or follow helathy diet. As a result, they take pills and other sources of vitamin supplements to meet their body needs. For example, one of my friends work from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, and because of his busy lifestyle he rely on protin powders and energy pills to keep himself vigorous entire day. Moreover, food quality and restricted eating patterns mean many people genuinely fall short of ideal nutrient levels. At the same time, vitamin pills become a one-stop solution for them because following a helathy diet they need to eat lots of vagetables and sprouts, at the same time, one small pill provide them all vitamins.
Taking certain steps could influence people to follow a healthy diet. First and foremost, health camps and nutrition seminars can help people to understand and incubate the healthy diet in their life style. These campaigns should explain the iron and fiber that are missing from pills and how they can obtain these nutrients from healthy food. As a result, it will help people to understand that some of the vitamins cannot be replicated by pills. What is more, the government should make a policy for nutrition labels on food products. This will strictly prohibits the food manufacturers to mislead people on nutirent content available in food and help people to follow their diet according to their body requirements. Furthermore, Doctors and nutritionists can offer realistic, step-by-step meal prep templates instead of telling busy patients to achieve a "perfect diet" from scratch.
To sum up, consumption of pills to overcome vitamin and nutrition deficiencies is convenient and easy, but it may create health issues for some. Therefore, a healthy diet is a safe and secure option because of its proven results over the years.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response fully addresses all parts of the task. The writer explores logical reasons for why people spend large sums of money on vitamin pills, such as dietary gaps caused by busy lifestyles and the perceived convenience of pills compared to preparing complex meals. Furthermore, the writer suggests practical measures to persuade individuals to improve their diet, including health camps, nutrition seminars, government policies on food labeling, and actionable meal-prep templates from healthcare professionals. The position is clear throughout, and the ideas are well-developed and supported with relevant personal examples, such as the friend who relies on protein powders and energy pills due to long working hours. The content meets all the requirements of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay displays a clear overall progression and logical organisation. Information and ideas are arranged coherently, with a logical flow from the introduction to the body paragraphs discussing reasons and solutions, and finally a succinct conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, with each body paragraph dedicated to a distinct aspect of the prompt. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'First and foremost' are employed to guide the reader through the text, although some referencing is slightly repetitive. Overall, cohesion is managed well despite minor mechanical elements.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate to sufficient range of vocabulary for the task. Less common lexical items are attempted, such as 'dietary gaps', 'supplement', 'vigorously', and 'nutritional content'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors throughout the response, including 'over come' instead of 'overcome', 'fullfil' instead of 'fulfill', 'dietry' instead of 'dietary', 'suppliments' instead of 'supplements', 'protin' instead of 'protein', 'mejority' instead of 'majority', 'helathy' instead of 'healthy', and 'vagetables' instead of 'vegetables'. These errors show some inconsistency in word spelling and control, though they rarely impede overall communication, placing the response firmly in the band 6 territory.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms. The writer attempts complex structures effectively in places, such as in conditional and relative clauses ('This essay will discuss the factors which are responsible for this trend...'). However, there are frequent grammatical inaccuracies and mechanical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('it become difficult', 'one small pill provide'), missing articles, and awkward phrasings like 'having a healthy and fit body is a miracle'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the persistence of basic grammatical errors means that error-free sentences are not in the majority.
