Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this urbanized era people taking healthy diet is a questionable debate. Doctors always suggest that we get enough vitamins and nutrients from the proper diet. However, the question here is if the people have enough time time to follow the diet? Despite the suggestion people still seem to spend surplus money on supplements. In this essay I will provide with all the details and best examples of why people still choose to buy vitamin supplments rather than follow a simple balaced diet.
Work life is one of the main reasons why people doesn't follow a diet. With the growing technology and rapid urbanization people tend to forget on how to live. They spend more time working like robots rather than taking care of their own health until it gets worse.Instead of following the doctors instructions they choose a short cut so that they can invest their time being productive and working. For example In the very recent data from 2025 87% of people fell ill due to not having a balanced diet. They chose to eat the ready made foods which are frozen.
people should start eating the greens at home which are healthy rather than opting for ready made noodles or pizza. There are different kinds of foods people can have which is considered as a balanced and healthy diet. For example eating boiled eggs for morning breakfast is good as it acts as a good source of protein and provide selenium which is good for thyroid gland.we can also have smoothie/ oats with berries, dark chocolate and different fruits which acts as energy booster. For lunch people can have quinoa which a acta as fibre, chicken breast as rich protein source, spinach - rich in iron. Every vegetable, fruit and lentils is rich in vitamins and has its own benefits.
Hence in the conclusion I would say people can be persuaded by one another only when one of their peers start to put this seed of thought into their mind that health is more important than work. And a disciplined lifestyle not only makes you healthy but also keep you attached with the nature.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, exploring why people spend money on vitamin pills and suggesting how they might be persuaded to improve their diet. The position is generally clear, though the development of ideas lacks some depth in places. For instance, the reason why people buy supplements is attributed to busy work lives, which is relevant, but the supporting example referring to 'very recent data from 2025 87% of people fell ill' is unconvincing and generalised. The second part discusses dietary improvements, offering concrete food examples like boiled eggs and quinoa. While all parts of the task are covered, the arguments could be extended and supported with more realistic evidence to reach a higher band. Overall, it satisfies the requirements for Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement, and the progression of ideas is generally understandable. Paragraphing is attempted, with distinct sections for the introduction, body paragraphs addressing the prompt questions, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, the transitional phrases used, such as 'Hence in the conclusion I would say', feel a bit clumsy. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as 'one of their peers start to put this seed of thought into their mind', which creates slight confusion in tracking the logical flow. There is a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices, and paragraph breaks are not fully utilised to separate distinct ideas cleanly. These issues place the response solidly at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'urbanized era', 'surplus money', 'disciplined lifestyle', and 'energy booster'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and spelling throughout the text. Examples include 'proper diet' instead of 'balanced diet', 'time time' (repetition typo), 'supplments' (spelling error), 'balaced' (spelling error), 'ready made' instead of 'ready-made' or 'processed', and 'acta' instead of 'acts'. While these vocabulary errors do not severely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5, as precision and control over less common items are lacking.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in punctuation, articles, subject-verb agreement, and clause construction. Examples include 'people taking healthy diet is a questionable debate' (awkward phrasing and missing article), 'if the people have enough time time to follow the diet?' (unnecessary repetition and incorrect direct question structure inside a sentence), 'people doesn't follow a diet' (agreement error with plural 'people'), and 'Every vegetable, fruit and lentils is rich' (agreement error with plural 'lentils'). These recurring errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar score from rising above Band 5.5.
