Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been observed that because of the busy lifestyle, people concentrate less on their diet and prefer to take external vitamins. They prefer to spend money on pills rather than create healthy eating habits. I will discuss a few solutions with relevant examples in the following paragraphs.
Examining the reasons, the most common thing among people is their lifestyle; today's generation is keen on unhealthy food: processed food, ready-made food, and oily food. Due to their working lifestyle, they have no time to focus on their diet; that's the reason they shift to taking vitamin pills because they are eating food with no nutrients. So, to solve this problem, there are people in the market who start making healthy diets at a reasonable price for working people, which helps them to get the minimum nutrients from food. For example, on social media, there are many accounts that encourage people to eat food full of nutrients and start providing these services at the doorstep to the people who need it.
Furthermore, there are people who eat healthy food but have no knowledge of the vitamins and protein present in the food. While having a good diet they are still lack with all the nutrients that the body needs. For such people, there are also some applications that are built by certified nutritionists. These apps help in them to know the exact percentage of vitamins present in the food by just scanning the food from the app. A survey is conducted by a local news channel in urban cities, the working people are now to prefer to make their food at home by taking help from such applications that are available on the internet, and 65 percent of the generation are adapting this change for their health.
To conclude, it is good to avoid taking chemically made vitamin pills, because now there are so many other alternatives present in the market for a healthy diet.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both why people spend money on vitamin pills and how they might be persuaded to improve their diet. In the first body paragraph, the writer explains that busy lifestyles and reliance on processed food lead individuals to take supplements. In the second body paragraph, solutions are presented, such as healthy meal delivery services and mobile applications that track nutritional content. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and lacks depth. For instance, the discussion on how people can be persuaded is slightly tangled with descriptions of existing services rather than direct persuasive measures, touching on Band 6 criteria.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used, though the transition between ideas can be abrupt. For example, moving from the reasons for taking vitamins to the market solutions in the same paragraph feels rushed. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'To conclude', and 'For example' are employed, but referencing and logical progression are occasionally mechanical or unclear, such as the sudden introduction of survey statistics without strong connecting tissue.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items like 'certified nutritionists', 'processed food', and 'chemically made vitamin pills'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text, such as writing 'are still lack with all the nutrients' instead of 'lack all the nutrients' and 'working people are now to prefer' instead of 'working people now prefer'. These errors do not seriously impede communication, placing the response solidly in the Band 6 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure. However, frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing are present, including 'because of the busy lifestyle, people concentrate' (missing article/pluralisation), 'there are people in the market who start making' (tense inconsistency), and 'These apps help in them to know' (incorrect prepositional usage). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but grammatical errors require some reader effort, aligning with the Band 5 descriptor.
