Student answer (Band 6.0)
Despite scientifically prooven that all vitamins and minerals can be consumed by daily healthy meals, many people still prefer to take vitamins pills. There are several reasons behind this trend and in the forthcoming paragraphs, I have discussed them with suitable justifications along with the preventing solutions to reduce their expanditure on unnecessary medications.
The first and foremost reason is that, taking pills is the easiest and quickest method of fulfilling body requirements of nutritions, containing no extra efforts of following healthy diet plans. Following simple procedure of consuming any medicines with water, setting an alarm to remind them regularlly, people do not want to waste their time after longer process of eating proper meals.
Moreover, some individuals may have allergies of particular food, limiting their eating options to reach the vitamins requirements. This situation leave no other options for such people despite consuming suppliments. In western countries, most of citizens are suffering from severe peanuts, tomatoes and fruit allergies. In addition, majority places in such countries like Canada and America, where the direct sunlight is rare, leaving no choise rather taking vitamin D and calcium pills.
On the other side, for those people who intake medicines due to laziness, spreading awareness about side effects of any medication is essential. Sometimes, to complete vitamin deficiancy by pills, gives unnecessary skin reactions, irritation at longer period. Apart from that self-awareness is must. By being cocious about own health and physic, getting knowledge about importance of naturally built healthy body, benifits of having good health not only oneself but also for family members, they should focus on natural suppliments of diet food to complete vitamin deficiency.
To conclude, people want to become healthy by following simple and easy way instead of following diet and longer route.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both why some people spend money on vitamin pills and how they can be persuaded to improve their diet instead. The student presents a clear position and offers relevant ideas throughout the essay. However, certain ideas are more fully developed than others, which keeps the response at this level. For instance, the reasons regarding convenience and food allergies are explained with some supporting details, but the section on persuasion relies on general notions like spreading awareness and self-consciousness without deeper extension or concrete examples. To reach a higher level, every main idea requires equally thorough elaboration and robust supporting arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a logical progression of ideas from reasons to solutions and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to structure the response, grouping the reasons in the second and third paragraphs and the solutions in the fourth. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'The first and foremost reason', 'Moreover', and 'On the other side', ensuring that the reader can follow the flow of information. Nevertheless, cohesion is at times mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'This situation leave no other options', and referencing is occasionally unclear. To move towards higher bands, the writer should employ more flexible and natural cohesive links rather than relying on standard transitional formulas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'expanditure', 'suppliments', and 'deficiancy'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'prooven' instead of proven, 'vitamins pills' instead of vitamin pills, 'nutritions' instead of nutrients, 'regularlly', and 'cocious'. Additionally, some collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'completing body requirements' or 'getting knowledge'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips do not severely impede communication, but they restrict the score because precision and control over less common vocabulary are inconsistent. Expanding control over word forms and careful proofreading would significantly enhance this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to vary sentence structures with participial phrases like 'Following simple procedure...' and relative clauses. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, though they rarely impede overall communication. Examples of grammatical lapses include subject-verb agreement issues ('This situation leave', 'majority places... where the direct sunlight is rare'), article omissions, and preposition errors ('allergies of particular food' instead of to, 'waste their time after longer process' instead of on). The mix of error-free simple structures and somewhat faulty complex attempts places the grammatical range and accuracy firmly in this band. Greater precision in complex syntactic patterns and agreement rules is needed for improvement.
