Student answer (Band 5.5)
A healthy, balanced diet containing a variety of whole foods provide all the essential vitamins your bood needs to work properlly. Although doctors suggests the people to eat healthy diet to get all the essential vitamins but people like to take the vitaimns medications. There are many reasons behind this phenomina like age.
There are some reason why people spend money on vitamin pills. Firstly, older people need more vitamins but as they get older their eating habit changed. They do not eat to much food and because of this, their body can not get all the essential vitaimns and to complete the vitamins in their body they have to take the suppliments. Apart from it, some people are vegetarin and they believe that only meat contains the vitamins and the vegetarin diet does not contain the vitamins. As a result, people start to take the vitamins pills. For example, mostly people beileve that meat have the vitamins like B2,3,4,12 and vegetable does not contain it so they start taking the pills.
However, this is the sterotype. Government should take the step to clear this misunderstanding. Firstly, government should organise the campus where they provide the knowledge of food like what type of food contains what type of vitamins. Secondly, meat is not only the source for the vitamins, vegatarian can also geyt all the vitamins through the vegetarain diet.
To conclude, All tupe of food contain all the vitamins so people should focus on healthy diet instead of taking the suppliments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that older people may eat less and that vegetarians may worry about missing nutrients, then propose government information campaigns. These are relevant starting points, but the reasons are only partly developed. For example, explain why people trust pills or find them more convenient than changing their meals, and clarify how reduced food intake creates a need for supplements. The response also makes broad claims, such as “All tupe of food contain all the vitamins,” which is inaccurate and weakens the argument. Your position—that people should improve their diet—is clear in the conclusion, but the proposed campaigns need more detail about how they would change people’s choices.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Apart from it,” and “However” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear or repetitive. The opening mentions age, and the next paragraph repeats that point before moving to vegetarian diets; the relationship between these ideas could be made more explicit. Some linking is mechanical, and “However, this is the sterotype” does not clearly identify which preceding claim is being challenged. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “balanced diet,” “essential vitamins,” “supplements,” and “vegetarian diet,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “take the vitamins pills” and repeated use of “vitamins.” Spelling errors—including “bood,” “phenomina,” “suppliments,” and “sterotype”—are noticeable and can make reading less smooth. Some word combinations are also unnatural, for example “organise the campus” when you appear to mean public information events or campaigns. Aim to learn accurate collocations and vary terms such as “vitamin supplements,” “nutrients,” and “dietary sources.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure: “because of this, their body can not get all the essential vitaimns.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “A healthy, balanced diet … provide” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “Although doctors suggests … but people like” combines clauses incorrectly. Articles and plural forms are also often missing or inaccurate, as in “eat healthy diet” and “some reason.” Practise building accurate complex sentences with one clear main clause, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
