Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus on diet and supplements. The reasons you give—limited time to prepare meals and working night shifts—are clear, and you suggest cooking at home and choosing vitamin-rich foods as alternatives. Examples such as fast food and olive oil help make the discussion concrete. However, some points are not fully explained: the link between night shifts, sunlight and vitamin C is unclear, and the claim about sunlight improving vitamin C and immunity needs correction or support. The suggestions for persuading people are also less developed than the reasons; explain how education, practical meal-planning advice or public-health campaigns could change behaviour.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining reasons, a paragraph offering alternatives and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” make the stages easy to follow. Within paragraphs, however, connections are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “Whereas” does not clearly connect the ideas in the introduction, and the shift from night work to sunlight and then to fruit is abrupt. Some references, including “With this” and “they,” could be more precise. To improve progression, organise each paragraph around one main point and explain how each example supports it, using linking expressions only where they clarify the relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “vitamin pills,” “balanced diet,” “fast foods,” “physical activities” and “sunlight.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “night shifts” and “pre cooked meals.” However, spelling errors are frequent, including “individu abls,” “vetamins,” “Secoundly” and “vegetabls,” and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “low vitamine C” and “outdoor meals.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause and limit the precision of the discussion. Build a reliable set of correctly spelled health and nutrition terms, and check whether phrases sound natural in context before using them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “meals which are rich in vitamins” and a reason clause beginning “because” in the discussion of night shifts. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include “Diet plays an crucial role,” “some people spent money,” “most of people prefers,” and “a person who spent 15 minutes … have.” These show problems with articles, tense, agreement and sentence construction. Punctuation also needs attention: several sentences run directly into the next without a space or clear boundary. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement and tense, and accurate punctuation.
