Student answer (Band 5.0)

Doctors strongly recommended that we can get all necessary vitamin from our food diet however they are many inviduals that are still buying expensive supplements instead of improving their food habbits

on one hand, I agree with this statement we can say we are doing this because our body need all types of vitamin for longetivity of life and strong bones that cannot be completed by our regular food consumptions so we extra supplements to fullfill our body requirements for instance they are two approach in our life one is proactive and other is reactive in proactive apparoach you can take medicine in advance before you found an problem in your body so that you does not need to go to the doctors and reactive approach that you do not take any care and then you will become ill and go for doctor for taking pills

on other hand, there are many negative effects on body parts like liver, heart and kidney because of too consumptions of pills instead they can reduce all this just making some changes in there diet many pharmacy businness want a lot of marketing just to sell their on account of selling their product and gains profits from it

To conclude this, consumption of vitamin pills has more benefits due to it is very easy to get from market rather than it is difficult to make changes in food diet because it is not budget friendly and very hard to achieve all the necessary changes to cure vitamin deficit in our human body and each has different body and need for vitamin that can be easily achieved my vitmain pills

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You attempt to address both questions: you suggest that people buy supplements because they believe ordinary food cannot meet their needs, and you mention marketing and the difficulty of changing eating habits. However, the response only partially answers the task. The reasons are not clearly separated or developed, and the discussion of how people could be persuaded to improve their diet is especially limited; saying that pharmacies market products explains sales, but does not offer a clear persuasion strategy. Your conclusion also shifts to arguing that pills are beneficial and convenient, so your overall position is not consistent with the doctors’ advice or the question. Develop a few relevant reasons and practical measures, such as nutrition education or affordable healthy-food options, and support them with examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: the response has an opening, two body sections signalled by “on one hand” and “on other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers show an attempt to group ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph moves from vitamin needs to proactive and reactive medicine-taking without explaining the connection. The second paragraph combines health risks, diet changes and pharmacy marketing, while the conclusion introduces further claims about cost and convenience. Linking phrases are sometimes used mechanically or inaccurately, and several sentences run together, making relationships between ideas unclear. Give each paragraph one clear purpose, use transitions that express the actual relationship, and connect examples directly to the point they support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “supplements,” “longevity,” “marketing,” “profits” and “vitamin deficit.” This gives you a basic range for discussing health and consumer behaviour. However, word choice, collocation and spelling errors are frequent enough to make parts of the response difficult to understand, as in “food consumptions,” “fullfill our body requirements” and “on account of selling their product.” Several expressions are repeated or imprecise, including “vitamin pills” and “changes in food diet.” Work on accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “a balanced diet,” “meet nutritional needs” and “promote their products” would express your ideas more naturally and precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, but the range is limited and complex structures are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in phrases such as “our body need” and “you does not need,” while articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “before you found an problem.” The opening sentence lacks clear punctuation and contains an incomplete contrast, and several later sentences join multiple ideas without effective punctuation. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although” and “so.” Check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during revision.
