Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a clear overall position: convenience, reassurance and marketing help explain supplement use, while education, affordability and cooking skills are proposed as alternatives. These are relevant, practical ideas, and the examples of oranges and school cooking workshops make the response more specific. The explanation of why people buy pills is somewhat more developed than the proposed solutions, which are mainly listed rather than explored—for example, you could explain how campaigns might correct misleading claims or how better access would change daily choices. The claim that supplements are “more safe and effective” is also too broad and would benefit from qualification. More balanced development and support for each main point would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining supplement use, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally” help readers identify the stages of your argument. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated list markers in the solutions paragraph, and the opening sentence’s “While … but” construction makes the relationship between ideas unclear. A few references are also imprecise, such as “it” in the sentence about making fruits and vegetables affordable. Use transitions that show the specific relationship between ideas and make pronoun references explicit to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “psychological reassurance,” “aggressive marketing strategies,” “nutritional gaps,” and “practical life-skills training.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic vocabulary, and the meaning is generally clear. Some less common expressions are not used naturally or precisely: “advance lifestyle pressure,” “nutritional rich food,” and “captures human mind psychologically” are awkward, while “pharmaceuticals” does not fit naturally as a label for companies here. There are also word-form and spelling slips, including “health professional” and “anti-oxidant.” Aim for accurate collocations and forms, and prefer clear, natural phrasing over complex wording when unsure.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including clauses introduced by “while,” “which,” and “so that,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, however. The opening has a faulty contrast structure (“While … but”), and subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “companies convincing” and “marketing captures.” Other examples include “the Vitamin C can be naturally get” and “it can be easily purchase,” where the verb forms are not correctly constructed. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “Authority and health organization.” Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, and review articles and agreement; this would make your varied sentence structures more controlled.
