Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is undeniable that vitamins are essential for the human body. In recent years, it has been adviced by doctors to adapt a nutrition rich diet that contains not only vitamins but also minerals, which are neccessary for individuals health. In my view, due to the lack of time, they prefer to buy vitamin pills rather than having from a healthy diet. To convince people to improve their diet, government should develope compaigns to educate people and should strict with the working hours,

Due to the hectic shedule of individual's, they have less time to prepare their own healthy meal at home or to order from restaurant. They find it time saving to purchase the vitamins and consume one daily without any stress of cooking or ordering. Therefore, they prefer to utilize their time for relaxation instead of having a healthy diet that they may likely to ignore due to their taste.

To persuade people for the adaption of vitamin rich diet, government should take some initiatives. Legislation should develop some compaigns to educate people about the healthy diet and can be encouraged to save their money that they spend to buy vitamins pills. Moreover, Government should strict with the working hours. Companies that compel extra working hours should be strictly fined. Consequently, people will get sufficient time for cooking, therefore they can cook their vitamin rich meals at home.

To conclude, even though individual's busy schedule does not allow them to improve their diet that insist them to consume vitamin pills, but the government's involvement to impose rules for fix working hours can be beneficial for people to get sufficient hours that they can use to prepare vitamin rich food for themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a relevant central explanation: people choose pills because busy schedules make preparing healthy food seem inconvenient, while government action could create more time and encourage healthier choices. The suggestions about public education and limiting excessive working hours are pertinent. However, the explanation of why people spend “large sums” is only partly developed: you focus on convenience but do not explore other possible motivations, such as believing supplements offer quick health benefits or responding to advertising. The proposed campaigns are also described generally, without an example of what they would teach or how they would persuade people. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation or example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, moving from an introduction to an explanation, proposed solutions and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally have distinct purposes, and linking expressions such as “Therefore,” “Moreover” and “Consequently” help show relationships between ideas. This coherent arrangement meets the lower-band expectations well. To make progression more consistently clear, ensure that each sentence connects precisely to the point before it: the opening paragraph ends with an unfinished-feeling list of proposals, and the conclusion repeats the busy-schedule argument rather than drawing together both solutions. Some links are mechanical, particularly repeated cause-and-effect transitions. Use clearer referencing and vary how you connect supporting details to the main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “vitamins,” “minerals,” “healthy diet,” “hectic schedule” and “legislation,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more formal expressions, such as “sufficient time” and “government’s involvement.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “adviced,” “neccessary,” “develope,” “compaigns” and “shedule” are misspelled, while “adapt a nutrition rich diet” and “vitamins pills” are unnatural combinations. Repetition of “healthy diet” and “vitamin rich” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases; this will make your vocabulary more accurate and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “which,” “that” and “even though,” and most of your meaning remains clear. Some grammatical errors nevertheless affect accuracy. For example, “they may likely to ignore” needs a corrected verb pattern, and “government should strict” lacks the appropriate verb construction. The final sentence combines “even though” with “but,” creating an incorrect contrast structure, while “that they can use” has an unclear reference. There are also issues with articles, possessives and agreement in phrases such as “government should” and “individual’s busy schedule.” Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each clause for a complete verb and clear subject.
