Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: social-media promotion and limited knowledge are offered as reasons for buying supplements, while government action and doctors’ campaigns are suggested as ways to encourage healthier eating. These points are relevant, but they are only partly developed. The example of celebrities promoting gummies and other products is specific, yet the explanation of how campaigns would change people’s behaviour is brief, and the prescription example is not clearly connected to improving diet. The final sentence is unfinished, so the proposed solution is left incomplete. The response also falls 37 words short of the required minimum, limiting the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each solution and clarify your position in a complete conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, and one on solutions. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “As a result,” and “Furthermore” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven: the solutions paragraph moves from government action to doctors’ campaigns and then to children’s access to pharmaceutical products without explaining how these points fit together. Some connections are also awkward, such as “The reason that why,” and the final sentence stops at “but some,” leaving the paragraph without a complete ending. Organise the solutions in a clearer sequence, use pronouns with clear references, and finish with a brief conclusion that summarises your answer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “social media influence,” “sponsored,” “pharmaceutical products,” “campaigns,” and “prescription.” This allows you to discuss both the causes and possible responses. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “normalizing it,” “large female audience,” and “fake after results.” Spelling errors—including “knowldege,” “appearnce,” and “focuing”—also make the writing less controlled. Aim for more precise, natural phrasing and check spelling carefully. For example, explain that influencers promote products to a large female audience and may present misleading claims about results, rather than relying on unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a result structure with “As a result.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. Examples include “While, Some individuals still prefer,” which is an incomplete and incorrectly punctuated clause, and “A strict actions … can play,” where the determiner and noun do not agree. The opening also joins sentences without a space after “vitamins.” Several sentences lack necessary articles or have faulty structures, such as “It attracts large female audience and target them more.” Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
