Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is suggested by the doctors that a healthy diet can fulfill the deficency of vitamins but still individuals spend a considerable amount of money on vitamin pills instead of following the advice. There might be various reasons behind this trend, some effective measures can be taken to alter the habits of people.
One main reason of having vitamin tablets rather than eating nutrients rich diet is lack of awareness. When people have their food, they are not aware of that what kinds of food they should include in their everyday diet, which can reduce the consumption of vitamin pills. Instead of including the correct options in their diet, they cook and eat without the proper knowledge of which food contains how much proportation of vitamins. As a result, they have to consume additional vitamin pills.
Fast results can be another possible reason of consuming vitamin pills. Sometimes, a healthy diet takes time to fulfill the deficency of vitamins, so people may think that they can get fast result if they consume vitamins directly rather than depending on a diet. In addition, there are sometimes individuals do not like some food items that are rich source of vitamins. Therefore, in order to complete their diet, they prefer to have aternatives.
To motivate people towards healthy diets, raising awareness can be the most effective approach. The government should spread awareness among people about the healthy eating options. If people have proper knowledge about the best food that can be a good for health, they would give more priority to them.
In conclusion, although doctors are people telling getting all the vitamins from a good diet

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions and give relevant reasons, including limited awareness of nutritious foods, the appeal of faster results, and dislike of certain foods. The suggestion that governments raise awareness is also appropriate. However, the explanations are brief and sometimes unclear: for example, the link between not knowing what to eat and therefore needing pills is asserted rather than fully explained. The second question is only partly answered, since awareness is the sole measure developed; practical ways to make healthy eating more appealing or accessible would broaden the response. The conclusion is incomplete and does not clearly summarise your answer. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation or example and finish with a complete concluding statement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons, a paragraph on persuasion, and an attempted conclusion. Connectors such as “As a result,” “In addition,” and “Therefore” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven: the paragraph about improving diets contains only one briefly explained measure, and the final paragraph breaks off, leaving the essay without a clear ending. Some links are also difficult to follow, such as the claim that people’s lack of knowledge “can reduce the consumption of vitamin pills.” Use clearer topic sentences, make each paragraph develop one central point, and ensure references and cause-and-effect links are explicit. A complete conclusion would make the overall progression more coherent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “vitamin pills,” “healthy diet,” “lack of awareness,” and “raising awareness.” Phrases such as “a considerable amount of money” also show an attempt to use more formal language. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “fulfill the deficiency” and “complete their diet” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “proportation” is misspelled. “Aternatives” is also misspelled, and “nutrients rich diet” needs a more natural form. Build accuracy by learning common collocations for nutrition and health, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “When,” “If,” and “although,” so there is some variety in structure. However, errors occur frequently and can make parts of the response difficult to interpret. For example, “they are not aware of that what kinds of food” has an incorrect clause structure, and “there are sometimes individuals do not like” is not grammatically complete. The final sentence, “although doctors are people telling getting all the vitamins from a good diet,” is also unfinished and unclear. Articles and sentence construction need attention in phrases such as “can be a good for health.” Practise forming complete clauses and checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
