Student answer (Band 5.5)

Even though it is advisory by the doctors to follow strict and helthy diet which provides necessory vitamins and nutrients to the body. Many people spend huge amount on vitamin tablets. The reason can be many like their lifestyle, their work schedule or big responsibilities which can be eliminated by educating them by seminars or imposing heavy tax on vitamins pills.

Main reason to not include healthy meals in diet is a matter of busy lifes. For example, Due to heavy workload or back to back shifts a person does not get enough time to prepare food for himself and as a result he has to rely on fast-foods or ready to eat food packages and to complete to intake vitamins they rely on vitamins. Secondly, consuming a vitamins in a form of tablets costs much cheaper than completing the intake of vitamin by eating proper meal which leads to depends on tablets.

To avoid this and make people to follow their helthy diet government should take initaive and held some educative programs which encourage people. Government should reduce the price by giving special discounts on helthy foods like fruits, vegetables, eggs which are good for the health and easy fast to eat. In addition to that, if government increase the tax of the company which makes vitamins pills then automatically the price will go up and people will start to make theit own food.

To conclude, If there is no alternative available then people will prefer only available option. But that can leads to ulhealthy lifestyle too. So, It is better to keep the vitamiins tablets available in market but try to make halthy options easy to available.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus. The first body paragraph gives plausible reasons—busy schedules, shift work, and the lower cost of tablets—and the next proposes education, discounts on healthy foods, and higher taxes on supplements. These ideas are relevant, but some are not fully explained: for example, the claim that tablets are cheaper would be stronger with a brief comparison or example, and the effect of taxing manufacturers on people’s choices is asserted rather than demonstrated. Your conclusion also introduces the idea of keeping tablets available, which is not clearly connected to the proposed measures. Develop the reasoning behind each solution and make the final position more consistent to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and examples such as relying on ready-to-eat food support the discussion of busy lifestyles. However, some links between ideas are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence is a fragment, and the phrase “The reason can be many like” does not clearly introduce the points that follow. In the solutions paragraph, the move from education to food discounts and then taxation would benefit from clearer explanation of how each measure persuades people to change. Use more precise transitions and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “workload,” “back to back shifts,” “ready to eat food packages,” and “special discounts.” These choices help communicate the main ideas. However, the range and control are limited by repeated wording such as “healthy diet,” “vitamins,” and “people,” as well as inaccurate word forms and collocations. Examples include “a matter of busy lifes,” “complete to intake vitamins,” and “easy fast to eat”; these may make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Spelling errors such as “helthy,” “necessory,” and “initaive” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural topic phrases and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure in “Due to heavy workload … and as a result he has to rely on fast-foods.” This shows an effort to explain relationships between ideas. However, some sentence structures are faulty, and errors in articles, agreement, and verb forms recur. The opening, “Even though it is advisory by the doctors…,” is not a complete sentence, while “consuming a vitamins … costs much cheaper” has problems with article use and sentence construction. In “if government increase the tax,” the subject and verb do not agree. Practise forming complete sentences and check articles, singular/plural forms, and agreement, especially in longer sentences.
