Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, doctors advice to have a healthy diet to complete vitamins requirements, people spend a lot of money on the vitamin pills. There are several reasons behind this trend and few possible solutions to reduce the effect of trend on the society.
Primarily, there are two major reasons fast pace life and easy availability of pills. First in 21st Century, people are changing their lifestyle as fast as changing their clothes, because of this dependency on fast food is increased, which is deteriorating people's health. Such food items do not provide enough vitamins and minerals required on daily basis, people switch their source to artificial pills to fulfill their vitamin intake. Second cause is vitamin pills are available over the counter without prescription, which makes it easier for people to purchase from nearby pharmacy. Doctors sometimes prescribe them when necessary, but people choose them as an alternative source, rather than improving their diet.
However, there are few steps which governments and major organisations can take to divert the society. First, large institutes can run health campaigns along with doctors to influence healthy diet. On top of that, running advertisements digitally and physically attracts common people, especially putting a celebrity figure as the face. Second, governments can increase the warnings on food items, to advise people about contents of the products and its ingredients. For example, in Canada, health organisation advises each packed food item to provide warning about sugar, supplimentary and fat content labels to inform people before consumption. Along with that restriction on getting over the counter medications is necessary.
In conclusion, the fast paced life and accessible pills are primary reasons to influence people to get vitamin pills, with necessary precaution steps society can be persuaded to switch to healthy diet.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus: the reasons given are fast-paced lifestyles, reliance on fast food, and the easy availability of pills, while the proposed responses include campaigns, food labelling and tighter access to supplements. The example of Canadian food labels also helps make one suggestion more concrete. Some ideas, however, are less fully explained than others. For instance, you mention that campaigns and celebrity advertising could influence people, but do not explain how they would change purchasing habits or improve diet. The discussion of warnings on food packaging is also more directly about food contents than about vitamin-pill use. To strengthen the response, explain the link between each measure and the behaviour you want to change, and develop the reasons with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “First,” “Second cause,” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the stages of the argument. Some cohesion is mechanical, however, because several points are introduced through similar numbered transitions. There are also places where the relationship between ideas is not fully clear: the food-labelling example follows the campaign suggestion without a strong link, and “Along with that restriction” does not clearly specify what is being restricted. Use a wider range of linking methods and make references explicit, so the progression feels more connected rather than like a list.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “vitamin intake,” “over the counter,” “health campaigns,” and “warning … labels.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and some topic-specific language adds precision. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “complete vitamins requirements,” “dependency on fast food,” and “divert the society.” There are also spelling or word-form slips, including “supplementary” where “saturated” may be intended, and “organisations” is used alongside “organization”-style wording inconsistently. These do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling and word forms; for example, use “meet daily vitamin requirements” and “reliance on fast food.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations with “because of this” and a relative clause in “food items … which is deteriorating people’s health.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentence relationships unclear. For example, the opening joins two independent clauses with a comma, and “First in 21st Century” lacks an article and has awkward sentence framing. There are also issues with agreement and sentence construction in “Such food items do not provide enough vitamins … required on daily basis,” and “its ingredients” does not agree clearly with the plural “food items.” Improve control by separating complete clauses with a full stop or conjunction, checking articles and agreement, and proofreading longer sentences for clear structure.
