Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is true that most of people prefer to spend considerable money on vitamin pills rather than taking healthy diet. Although some reasons are responsible behind this phenomenon, i think government and people should aware about healthy nutritions instead of taking nutritions pills.

On the one hand, there are few reasons why people spend huge amount of money on vitamin medicines. First and the foremost, in modern era, people are busy in their work due to more competition in every fields that is why they have less time to prepare heathy food at home so they prefer to eat fast food when they are on a work because of less time so when they have lack of iron, calcium and vitamins in bodies, they prefer to take pills for cure these deficiency. In additon to it, most of the individuals spend a lot of money on pills under the pressure of advertisement because most of aids related to vitamin pills in turn of which people can easily attract from them and buy it because they are unaware about their results after taking it.

On the other hand, i believe that high authorities and people should attention on their dieting to stay despite spending money on vitamins pill. First of all, government should not only teach nutritious subjects in school but also organise a camps to aware the people about healthy diets because most of people deprived to know about nutritious vegetables and fruits which helps them to aware healthy diet rather than spending money on pills. Apart from it, government should restriction on advertisement which promote wrong medicines so people can not take it to stay fit. Along with this, they should promote those aids which promote healthy diet as fruits and proteins. So people can easily aware about nutritious diets.

To conclude, while busy schedule and unawareness are main root of this happening, i think regimes and masses should take effective steps to aware people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a clear overall position: people buy supplements because of busy routines and advertising, while education and government action could encourage healthier eating. The explanation that limited time leads people to rely on fast food and then pills is relevant, and you also suggest school education and restrictions on misleading advertising. However, some proposals are less fully explained. For example, the idea of promoting advertisements for fruit and protein is mentioned, but you do not show how this would change people’s choices. The claim that people are unaware of the results of taking pills could also be clarified. Develop each main point with a specific example or a clearer explanation of its effect.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons and solutions, and a conclusion. The contrastive signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the two parts of the discussion, and phrases such as “First of all” and “Apart from it” make the sequence visible. This organisation meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, and long sentences containing several ideas make relationships less clear—for example, the sentence about work, fast food, nutrient deficiencies and pills. Some references, such as “they” in the solutions paragraph, are not always precise. Use shorter units and clearer links between cause, example and result.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to health and the topic, including “vitamin pills,” “iron,” “calcium,” “advertisement,” and “nutritious.” There are also attempts at more formal expressions such as “considerable money” and “effective steps.” However, the range is limited by repeated or inaccurate wording, and several collocations make the meaning difficult to follow: “healthy nutritions,” “vitamin medicines,” “aware about,” and “stay fit” in the context of government action. Spelling errors such as “heathy” and “additon” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships and use precise forms—for instance, “a balanced diet,” “nutritional deficiencies,” and “raise awareness.” This would make your ideas clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “because,” and “while,” and the overall message is generally understandable. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, particularly where several clauses are joined together, as in the explanation beginning “people are busy in their work.” There are also recurring errors with articles, agreement, and sentence construction: “most of people,” “government should not only teach … but also organise a camps,” and “people can easily aware” lack accurate grammatical forms. Capitalisation of “I” is also inconsistent. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate clause structures and check articles and subject–verb agreement.
