Student answer (Band 6.0)
Peoples are wasting money behind vitamin supplementation whereas physician said that all kinds of vitamins are available in our regular healthy diet.It is better to avoid supplementary vitamins and follow a healthy diet.
Although doctors told us to take natural food to become healthier as this has enriched a lots of nutritions and vitamins but most of the people are not aware of this due to lack of information. Most of the TV channels showing commercial adds to promote vitamin pills which may contain all vitamins. Some journals and research paper also divert peoples mind to buy medications rather than to eat healthy diet. Moreover, most of the drug companies are manufactured vitamin pills to get more profit because it does not need any prescriptions of doctors. Some doctors do not warn people rather sometimes they may encourage them to buy this after taking bribe from company.Peoples also get wrong information from pharmacy and misguided by pharmacist and bought this pills to become healthy. For an example, in Bangladesh most of the pharmacy and doctors are just prescribe vitamin supplement for their economical advantage from company.
However, taking pills increasing day by day government should take prompt action to stop this.At first, disadvantages of this medicine should spread out through media and leaflet.Taxes should be reduce for healthy food like fruits, vegetables, milk products etc so that people can afford this easily. Also a strict law should be established about purchasing supplementary vitamins from shops. For an example, USA has recently establish a law on buying Vitamin pills without doctors prescription.
At last, supplemetary vitamins are needed for those who are failed to eat food and bed ridden. But taking this pill regularly by a normal person will make a economical burden for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a clear overall view that people should improve their diet rather than routinely buy supplements. The reasons are relevant: advertising, limited information, commercial incentives, and misleading advice from pharmacies. You also offer practical measures, including public information, lower taxes on healthy foods, and tighter sales rules. The Bangladesh example supports your explanation of commercial influence. This meets the task well, while some points are asserted rather than fully explained—for instance, the claim about doctors accepting bribes and the proposed US law would benefit from clearer support or qualification. The final point about supplements for people who cannot eat normally adds useful nuance, but could be linked more directly to when supplements are medically appropriate.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an opening position, a paragraph explaining why people buy pills, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a concluding qualification. Ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “At last” help show relationships. However, the list of causes in the second paragraph is crowded, so the links between advertising, research, drug companies, doctors, and pharmacists sometimes feel mechanical rather than developed. Some references are also unclear, as in “buy this” and “this medicine.” The conclusion introduces an exception but does not fully connect it to the proposed policies. Grouping related causes and explaining each transition would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “vitamin supplementation,” “commercial,” “prescriptions,” “economical advantage,” and “strict law.” These choices show an attempt to discuss health and regulation beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “wasting money behind,” “commercial adds,” “a lots of nutritions,” and “bed ridden.” “Supplementary vitamins” is also repeated where “vitamin supplements” would be more idiomatic. The intended meaning is usually recoverable, but greater control of common collocations and accurate forms is needed. Check spelling and use a dictionary to confirm whether a noun is countable and how it combines with verbs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession beginning “Although doctors told us…” and a conditional purpose clause, “so that people can afford this easily.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “most of the drug companies are manufactured” uses an incorrect verb form, while “taking pills increasing” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. In “Taxes should be reduce,” the passive form is inaccurate, and “a economical burden” has an article error. These patterns sometimes slow the reader, even though the main ideas remain understandable. Practise building accurate clauses first, then extend them with subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
