Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: social-media influencers and advertising are offered as reasons for buying supplements, while consulting a nutritionist and preparing healthy food are suggested alternatives. These points are relevant, and the examples about celebrity promotion and homemade beetroot juice help illustrate them. However, the explanation of why people spend large sums is not fully developed: the claim about influencers is broad, and the Red Cross statistic is presented without explaining how it supports the point. The solutions also need clearer explanation of how they would persuade people, rather than simply describing what individuals could do. A more explicit position and fuller development of each main idea would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “In addition,” and “Secondly” help signal the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the discussion moves from influencers to an unsupported statistic and then to advertising without clearly connecting these points. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically, and the conclusion repeats the advice rather than drawing the main ideas together. Improve cohesion by grouping each cause and solution into a clear sequence, using pronouns and linking expressions with precise references, and making the relationship between examples and claims explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “vitamin supplements,” “certified healthcare coach,” “brand promotion,” “nutritionist,” and “reliable source.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “healthy,” and “advice,” and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, including “politics” for the hidden commercial motives and “advertisment.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “hosted company” and “special effect.” These choices occasionally make the intended meaning less clear. Build a more precise vocabulary for marketing and nutrition, and check spelling and collocations so that your ideas sound natural and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Although” and “As,” and the overall meaning can usually be understood. However, errors are frequent, and complex structures are often not controlled. For example, “Physicians always suggest us” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “there are many influencer now a days are telling” combines incompatible sentence structures. Agreement and verb forms are also inconsistent in “advertisment play” and “companies who hired.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly the lowercase “they” after a full stop and the comma splice in “Despite of advice given from doctors on healthy diet people…” Practise accurate clause construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding further complexity.
