Student answer (Band 5.5)

Today, people should eat healthy food to get all the nutrients they need, as the doctor suggested. Some individuals spend money on vitamin pills. I believe that a busy schedule and food quality are the two main reasons behind this approach. But people can improve their diet and stop taking pills by improving their lifestyle.

Firstly, nowadays the majority of people live in nuclear families, and all members are working because they do not have to prepare their food or meals, so they depend on their cook for meal. Sometimes they do not like the meal then they eat pills to complete their vitamins. Moreover, qualities of food is very low at present, all the food which is contain good amount of nutrients thay have grown by some parasite which is bad for humen body due to which people think pills are better than this kind of poison.

secondly, there are some effective solutions that these people can improve their diet, people shold start to lives with joint families so that old member of family can make their meals for them as well as they have time to grow on vegetables which is growen without parasite. For example, in some ubran area people still live with their perents and they make meals for them and grown some good kind of high protian vegetable and nobody eat pills for vitamin at there .

in conclusion, there are some good kind of food at ubran area can stop this tread as well as joint families is good solution to get proper diet at home inseted to take pills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions and give a clear general direction: busy lives and concerns about food quality are reasons for buying supplements, while lifestyle and family changes are proposed as solutions. However, the explanations are only partly developed. For example, the claim that people rely on a cook and then take pills because they dislike a meal needs a clearer link to why this leads to spending large sums. The concern that food is grown with parasites is also difficult to follow and is not supported with a specific example. Your solution focuses mainly on returning to joint-family living, which may not be practical for everyone; explain more broadly how education, accessible healthy food, or public health advice could encourage dietary change.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. The reader can generally follow the shift from causes to recommendations, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “in conclusion” help show the intended organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the connection between working family members, relying on a cook, disliking meals, and taking pills is not fully explained. The second paragraph begins “secondly” even though it introduces solutions, which makes the relationship between the points less clear. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the main ideas rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each supporting point connects to the question.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “nutrients,” “vitamin pills,” “healthy diet,” and “joint families.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “qualities of food is very low,” “grown by some parasite,” and “high protian vegetable” are unclear or unnatural, while “urban area” and “trend” are misspelled in the response. Repetition of “good,” “people,” and “pills” also limits precision. Aim to use accurate, natural combinations such as “poor-quality produce,” “nutrient-rich foods,” and “rely on supplements,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “so that,” and “which,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and agreement occur in examples such as “all the food which is contain” and “joint families is good solution.” Verb forms are also often inaccurate, as in “they have grown” and “which is growen,” and articles and plurals are frequently omitted or misused. Several sentences run together, particularly the long sentence beginning “Sometimes they do not like the meal,” so punctuation does not always make the relationships clear. These problems can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one well-controlled subordinate clause.
