Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's world, everyone is busy in building their careers and uplifing their life; as a consequence, of this many individuals have no time for their own self and their health get compromised. To fulfill body's need for vitamins and proteins, now a days people started taking medicines for that. There are many reasons for this development. This following essay will include causes behind this and provide solutions to curb this problem.

To commense with, human beings are living in fast-paced era. People have a hectic and very tight schedule which directly affect their timing. After finishing work or school, most people are very exhusted that they do not want to cook a meal. Hence, they are deprived of nutritions and to compensate that they out source those elements via pills or powder. For instance, doctors advice their patients to have a proper meal and healthy diet for protein and vitamin intake. Despite of that, many people choose vitamin pills and protein powder because they do not have time for cooking. Secondly, some individuals have zero knowledge about essential nutritions for body. Due to this, they get influence by people and advertisement which ends up buying pills from the market rather than sourcing them naturally. For example, now a days there are many commercials of protein powders. There are many diffierent protein powders, bars and food items available in the market and people do not think before buying those.

In my opinion, government can do many things to improve this situation. They should provide accurate informations throgh advertisement.Government sould provide alternative remedy for pills. They should make strict rules and regulations for food items. Furthermore, knowledge should be provided to the rural community regarding vitamins and nutritions.

To conclude, because of busy life-style and accessibility of the products, people still prefer medicines and pills rather than traditional home cooked meals. With the help of government this situation can be improve.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: you explain that busy schedules and limited nutritional knowledge can lead people to buy supplements, and you suggest government information, regulation, and education. These are relevant reasons and solutions, but they are not developed evenly. The causes receive examples, such as people being too tired to cook and being influenced by advertisements, while the solutions are mostly listed without explaining how they would persuade people to choose healthier food. The position is understandable, although the opening claim that people take supplements to meet vitamin and protein needs could be made more precise. To strengthen the response, explain how each proposed measure would change behaviour and give a specific example, such as practical nutrition guidance or access to quick, affordable healthy meals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Hence,” “Secondly,” and “Furthermore” help signal the sequence of ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “This following essay will include causes behind this” announces the structure rather than advancing the argument, and the transition from the causes paragraph to the brief solutions paragraph is abrupt. Some ideas also repeat, particularly the references to busy lives, lack of cooking time, and pills. Improve progression by grouping related points, using clearer links between cause and solution, and explaining how each sentence follows from the previous one. The conclusion could also restate the proposed solutions, not only the causes.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “hectic,” “compensate,” “essential nutrients,” “advertisement,” and “rules and regulations.” This is enough to communicate the main ideas, but several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the language less natural and sometimes less precise. Examples include “uplifing their life,” “out source those elements,” “zero knowledge,” and “traditional home cooked meals”; “medicines” is also not the most accurate term for vitamin supplements. Spelling slips such as “exhusted,” “diffierent,” and “commense” are noticeable. Aim for more precise health-related phrasing and check spelling and word forms. Using terms such as “nutritional needs,” “dietary supplements,” and “nutrition awareness” would make the discussion clearer and more appropriate to the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “After finishing work or school, most people are very exhausted that they do not want to cook a meal.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation recur. For example, “many individuals have no time for their own self and their health get compromised” has faulty agreement and an unnatural construction; “which directly affect their timing” also needs agreement with its subject. The opening sentence’s semicolon and following comma interrupt the structure, while “With the help of government this situation can be improve” contains an incorrect verb form. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, while retaining your attempts at longer sentences.
