Student answer (Band 5.0)

The word has the changed from the past few decades, I this has not only affected people but there lifestyle as well. Healthy diet has become a major part of perople's awareness. I will be giving my opnions and talk about both advantages and disadvantages in the subsequent paragraphs if healthy diet is sufficient or should vitamin pills be also a part of our lifestyle.

On one hand , healthy diet includes all the essential nutrients sich as Vitamin D,B, A which is required by human body to do day to day activities and also icrease the resistance of it towrads the bacterias or diseases. For instance, having the right amount of carbohydrates, proteins and fats not only balances the need of vitamins but also makes our mind active and healthy.

On the other hand, Vitamins pills are also vital for human body, as some people have low metabolism due to which they cannot digest all the nutrients present in a healthy diet. For instance majority of the people in some countries are vegan or vegeterian or might have some cutural and religious believes to follow because of the they might not be able to consume all the vitamins in the most natural way via a healthy diet. So at this, point having a vitamin pill becomes a neccessity.

Follwing a good excercise routine can help us maintain an equilibrium in both

In a nutshell, having a balance of both is primoridial. However in my opnion the advantages of outweigs the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response touches on healthy eating and vitamin supplements, but it only minimally answers the two questions. It does not clearly explain why people spend large sums on pills: the point about vegan or vegetarian diets and religious beliefs suggests a reason for needing supplements, rather than explaining spending despite doctors’ advice. The second question—how people could be persuaded to improve their diet—is not answered with any practical measures. The introduction promises a discussion of advantages and disadvantages, which is not the task, and the conclusion says that both are important without establishing a clear position. To improve, address each question directly, give specific reasons and persuasion strategies, and support them with relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On one hand” and “On the other hand” signal a contrast. However, the progression does not match the task: the body paragraphs compare diet and supplements rather than developing answers to the two questions. The sentence “Following a good exercise routine can help us maintain an equilibrium in both” is isolated and unfinished, so it interrupts the flow. Some linking is also awkward, as in “So at this, point,” and the conclusion does not clearly follow from the discussion. Organise the body around the task’s two questions and ensure each paragraph develops one complete, connected point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response uses some relevant vocabulary, including “essential nutrients,” “metabolism,” “carbohydrates,” and “resistance,” showing an attempt to discuss health with more than basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “perople’s,” “sich,” “towrads,” and “primoridial.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “the word has the changed” and “balances the need of vitamins,” which can make the intended meaning harder to follow. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common health-related collocations. For example, use “meet the body’s nutritional needs” rather than “balances the need of vitamins,” and “immune system” rather than “resistance” when referring to protection from illness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts both simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “nutrients … which is required” and a reason clause beginning “as some people have low metabolism.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “The word has the changed,” “I this has not only affected,” and “because of the they might not be able,” where sentence structure and clause formation break down. There are also problems with agreement and articles, as in “nutrients … which is required by human body.” The final sentence, “the advantages of outweighs the disadvantages,” is incomplete and grammatically faulty. Practise constructing complete sentences and checking agreement, articles and clause links.
