Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus: you identify busy schedules and fast-food habits as reasons for buying supplements, then suggest government regulation and social-media campaigns to encourage healthier eating. These points are appropriate, but some are not fully explained. For example, the claim that restaurants serve food with fewer vitamins to increase profit needs clearer support, and the link between a hectic schedule and choosing pills could be made more explicit. Your proposed measures are also somewhat broad; explain how regulation or a campaign would change people’s choices in practice. A more developed example or explanation for each main idea would make the response more convincing and complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally clear, and signposts such as “To begin with” and “In addition to this” help readers follow the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear: “Above this analysis” is not a natural way to introduce the conclusion, and “this” in “this can overcome by taking pills” has an unclear reference. The causes paragraph also moves from workers to young people without a clear transition. Use more precise referencing and connect each example explicitly to the main point of its paragraph to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “vitamin deficiency,” “hectic schedule,” “fast food culture,” “regulation,” and “healthy diet,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “corporate jobs” and “heavy traffic jam.” However, spelling errors are frequent and sometimes make reading difficult, for example “sedentory,” “foucse,” “restraunts,” and “deficincy.” Some word combinations are also unnatural, including “vitamin less food” and “long stress day.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for health and diet. More accurate, natural phrasing would make your vocabulary more effective without needing unnecessarily complex words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “where,” “After,” and “which,” and this gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur across the essay. For example, “most of the people working in corporate jobs where they have to work” is an incomplete construction, while “fast food culture have” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “government can introduced,” the verb form is incorrect, and “vitamin pill should be available” needs an appropriate article or plural form. Several sentences also run together without clear punctuation. Practise building complete sentences and checking agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
