Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is sad but true that in the era of modernization, People are taking a good care of nutritions and vitamins that are pivotal for our bodies. There are few ways to get a vitamin that are necessary for your bodies. There are some divided opinions. Some proponents believe that what doctor's states that take all vitamins for healthy body. However, some counterclaimed that and believe they should get vitamin from the balance diet. The reason behind some people spending too much on vitamin pills and few proactive solutions to improve diet will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.

Scrutinising the facts from the grassroots level, the foremost one is that doctors are prescribing the all kinds of vitamins and minerals to the patient. For instance, after the age of 40 doctors always prescibe calcium and vitamin-B12 suppliments for better bone density and to reduce muscle fatigue. Secondly, the pharmaceutical companies advertisement is tempting people to buy a vitamin pills. For example, a real famous cricketer did an advertisement on Omega-3 fatty acids tablets and it was famous and all over the Internet and it sell was increased 40% in general because of that.

Conspicuously there are some noticable changes we can make to resolve this matter satisfactorily. A balance diet is a really good natural source of all kinds of vitamins and minerals. To improve this the government should promote a healthy diet habits they should display and spreading awareness regarding this. Besides this a production of an organic food will help more to attract people to eat more healthy stuff in general.

A doctor should advice a patient to try and eat a balance diet if possible. They should prescribe a vitamin medication only when it lacks natural range of vital vitamins. The government should watch over the advertisement for vitamins pills and control it as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus. For the reasons, you identify doctors’ prescriptions and pharmaceutical advertising, and the example of a cricketer promoting Omega-3 tablets helps illustrate how celebrity marketing can influence purchases. For solutions, you suggest public awareness, promoting organic food, advice from doctors, and tighter control of advertisements. However, some points are less fully developed: the claim that doctors prescribe supplements to people over 40 is broad and would benefit from qualification or support, while the organic-food suggestion is not clearly explained as a way to persuade people to improve their diet. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation of how it affects behaviour and a specific, credible example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, and paragraphs proposing solutions. This makes the main line of discussion easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “For instance,” “Secondly,” and “Besides this” to connect examples and points. At times, however, these links feel mechanical, and some references are unclear. The introduction discusses “divided opinions” and “proponents” without establishing a clear contrast that is needed for the question, and “To improve this” does not specify exactly what should be improved. The final paragraph adds further solutions but would connect more smoothly if it were integrated with the preceding solutions paragraph. Use more precise transitions and make the relationship between each idea explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You show an adequate range for the topic, including terms such as “nutritions,” “pharmaceutical companies,” “bone density,” “muscle fatigue,” and “awareness.” These choices help you discuss health, marketing, and possible interventions. You also attempt less common expressions, but some are inaccurate or unnatural, for example “scrutinising the facts from the grassroots level,” “counterclaimed,” and “a production of an organic food.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “prescibe,” “suppliments,” and “noticable” also reduce precision, although the intended meaning is generally understandable. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; choosing simpler, accurate phrasing is more effective than using elaborate expressions that do not fit the context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “a real famous cricketer did an advertisement … and it was famous” and conditional phrasing in “if possible.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms remain. For example, “There are few ways to get a vitamin that are necessary for your bodies” has unclear agreement and reference, while “the government should promote a healthy diet habits they should display” joins clauses without suitable punctuation or structure. In “it sell was increased,” the verb form is also incorrect. Work on building complete sentences, checking singular/plural agreement and articles, and separating linked ideas with appropriate punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied structures easier to read.
