Student answer (Band 5.5)

People have different views regarding that Doctors tell us that we can get all the vitamins we need from having a healthy diet. Despite this advice, some people continue to spend large sums of money on vitamins pills.

The main reason is that they want to look young, and fear that they their face should not get wrinkles. The main thing that can keep you fit and healthy is having healthy diet, as taking vitamins pills can make your body look good for small amount of time. If you want to look heathly for long time, then having good quality of food is the key point. For example, doctors always tell to eat healthy when there is any problem with your stomach, as eating good food will make your gut health strong and also your body.

Some people spend alot of money on pills beacuse they are told by their friends who are using the pills and they buy by coming in their influence. They also buy when they see advertisement on TV or Internet. The main point of buying without looking at the side effects is that the product is advertised by any popular actor or an influencer. For example, Dabur takes Hrithik Roshan in their ad, then people who follow him will buy the product without looking at the price.

The ways by which people can be persuaded to eat healthy food instead of buying pills is, the side effects should also be told while do the advertisement. There should be camps in which people can be told about the benefits of eating healthy diet.

To conclude, We should take natural products to make our body strong and fit rather than taking artificial products to make body look fit and healthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: you suggest that people are influenced by concerns about appearance, friends and advertising, and you propose health-awareness camps and fuller disclosure of side effects. These are relevant ideas, and the examples about doctors and a celebrity advertisement help illustrate them. However, the explanation of why people spend money is only partly developed: the link between pills and wanting to avoid wrinkles is asserted rather than explained, and the example does not show why people believe the product works. The suggestions for improving diets are also brief and could be made more practical. The opening repeats the prompt rather than establishing a clear position. Develop each reason and explain how each proposed measure could change people’s choices.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with separate paragraphs for reasons, solutions and a conclusion, so the reader can identify the main sections. Examples are generally placed near the points they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from avoiding wrinkles to fitness and stomach health without showing how these ideas connect. Linking phrases such as “The main reason” and “The main point” are repeated, while the opening sentence is awkward and does not smoothly introduce the argument. The conclusion restates the preference for natural products but does not bring together the reasons and solutions. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to its main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “side effects,” “advertisement,” “benefits” and “healthy diet.” Some choices are also relevant to the discussion of influence, such as “popular actor” and “influencer.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “look heathly for long time,” “coming in their influence” and “make your gut health strong” are examples. Spelling errors such as “alot,” “beacuse” and “heathly” are noticeable. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling; for instance, describe people as being “influenced by” friends and say that a balanced diet “supports digestive health.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional structure in “If you want to look …, then …” and a relative clause in “people who follow him.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, articles, agreement and verb forms occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “they fear that they their face should not get wrinkles,” “having healthy diet,” and “doctors always tell to eat healthy.” The opening sentence also combines ideas in an incomplete, awkward structure. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles and verb patterns. For example: “Doctors advise people to eat a healthy diet” and “They fear that their faces will develop wrinkles.”
