Overall it can be seen that the hospital's surrounding has developed a lot overtime. Two new roundabouts are now introduced on the hospital road with a connected bus station which has replaced the bus stop.Along with this seperate parking spaces are assigned to both staff and the public but the hospital building remains unchanged.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main changes: the bus stops were replaced by a bus station, parking was separated for staff and the public, and two roundabouts were added. The overview also correctly notes that the hospital building remained unchanged. However, some details are incomplete or unclear. In 2007, there were several bus stops on both sides of Hospital Road, not just “a bus stop to the east”; in 2010, the public car park was east of Ring Road, while the staff car park remained east of Hospital Road. The description of the bus station’s connections is also vague. To strengthen the response, report these locations precisely and compare the road layout more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, and separate descriptions of the two years. This makes the main comparison easy to follow, and phrases such as “In 2007” and “In 2010” provide basic signposting. However, some connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Along with this” introduces the parking changes without specifying how they relate to the bus and road changes, while “with a connected bus station” leaves the exact connection uncertain. The final paragraph also repeats points already made in the overview. Grouping the changes by feature—roads and bus access, then parking—would create a more developed progression and reduce repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing map changes, including “roundabouts,” “allocated,” “replaced,” and “remains unchanged.” These choices show an adequate range for the task. Some wording is imprecise or unnatural, however: “the hospital’s surrounding” is not a natural way to describe the area around it, and “east attachment side” does not clearly identify the public car park’s location. “A lot” and “alot” are informal or incorrectly written for this report, while “seperate” is misspelled. Aim for precise map language and check spelling; terms such as “surrounding area,” “located to the east of Ring Road,” and “substantially” would make the description more accurate and appropriately formal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of sentence forms, including a complex overview with “but the hospital building remains unchanged” and a sentence describing the new roundabouts. The main meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical and punctuation errors remain. For example, “has changed since 2007 till 2010” uses an awkward tense construction; “there was a seperate parking” needs a plural or a different noun phrase; and “now there was” does not maintain a suitable tense for describing the 2010 map. Several sentences also run ideas together, as in “In 2010 alot had changed, now…”. Use past simple consistently for the maps, check articles and number agreement, and separate clauses with appropriate punctuation.
