These two maps below illustrate the change of a road to a hospital between 2007 and 2010.

In 2007, the hospital was situated at the centre of the site, flanked by Ring Road to the north and City Road to the south. A single, undivided car park designated for both staff and public use occupied the western side of the hospital, directly adjacent to the main building. Along the southern boundary on City Road, there was only a basic bus stop, with no dedicated turning or waiting area for buses. Access to the hospital from City Road was via a simple junction without any traffic management features.

By 2010, the car park had been completely reorganised: the previous shared facility was replaced by two separate, clearly demarcated zones — a smaller staff car park still located on the west side immediately next to the hospital, and a much larger public car park positioned further west, away from the building. The most noticeable addition was the construction of a roundabout at the junction where City Road meets the hospital entrance, which replaced the former simple access point. Additionally, the former bus stop on City Road was upgraded to a full bus station, equipped with its own access road connecting directly to the new roundabout, thereby improving traffic flow and separating bus movements from private vehicle access.
