The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The blueprints illustrate layout of roads to a city healthcare centre during 2007 and 2010.

Overall, several modifications were done in the layouts like parking spaces were separated , roundabouts were made and bus stops were replaced by the bus station in later layout than the previous plan.

In 2007, city hospital was in the north covered by ring road around the building. There were six bus stops on the hospital road along with common parking area for the staff and the public in the south-east side of the road. The city road was in the south of main hospital building.

In 2010, the city healthcare centre was covered by the ring road around the building with a roundabout in the south of it and the parking space for general public was in the north-east side of the main building. Bus stops were replaced by the bus station which was connected with two roundabouts in both the sides. The staff parking was beside the hospital road and city road was having one roundabout in the centre.
