IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The picture compares the current structure and the proposed changes in road access to a city hospital from 2007 to 2010 .

Overall, there are a lot of significant changes in the hospital area. The bus stop and car park for public are planned to be replaced. Staff car parking will remain untouched.

It can be seen that public car park will be reallocated in the east of the hospital by opening a entrance from the ring road. Area of staff car parking will remain at the same place. A roundabout will be introduced in the starting and ending of the hospital road.

Moving to the further changes, bus station will be shifted beside the west side of the hospital road with two entrance of the roundabout. There will be no changes planned in city road, ring road, hospital road and entrance to the hospital. The area of the hospital will be same as it is in 2007.
