The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given map illustrates the changes of road infrastructure to a city hospital over a three-year period from 2007 to 2010.

Overall, the map has been significantly modernised by the contructing of well-organised parking area, bus station, and the introduction of two roundabouts.

By looking first around the city hospital, the public car parking has been constructed just on the right-side of the hospital with the accesss to the hospital. The significant changes occured in 2010 is introduction of two roundabout: one at the sothern-side of the city hospital and the other across the hospital road. The six differemt bus stops in 20117 has been tranformed to a bus station on th eleft side of the hospital road in 2010.

In 2007, the area on the right side of the hopsital road was the car park are afor both staff and public but now it has been allocated to staff only.
