The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The provided maps compares the road access to a city hospital between 2007 and 2010.

Overall, there had been a significant development in terms of parking areas through the period. Certain regions were expanded, replaced or added to the infrastructure.

The City Hospital was surrounded by the Ring Road and connected to the City Road via Hospital Road in south to the facility in 2007. However, two new roundabouts were added on the Hospital Road by 2010. On east to the Hospital Road was a car park for staff and public collectively, which was expanded and shifted towards the east part of the Ring Road for public and remained the same as before for the medical staff.

Also, a new bus station was constructed on the west side of the Hospital Road with two attached ways towards either of the new roundabouts in replacement to the bus park on both the sides of the Hospital Road in 2007.
