Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the maps, such as the changes to the car parks and the addition of roundabouts. You provided a clear overview in the introduction and body paragraphs. However, the response could be improved by providing more precise spatial descriptions. For example, instead of saying 'at the east side', you could specify the location relative to the hospital or the main roads. Additionally, ensure that all features mentioned are clearly visible on the maps to avoid minor inaccuracies. Overall, you have covered the requirements of the task well.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs detailing the changes. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In the next outline' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'In the next outline', which is not the most natural way to refer to a map. Improving the variety and flow of your linking words would help to achieve a higher band score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'roundabout', 'structured', and 'employees'. However, there are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'publics were appeared' and 'backside of the crew parking area'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing when describing the location of features.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'roads are seemed to be more structured' (passive voice error), 'Car park for workers and publics were appeared' (subject-verb agreement and tense error), and 'Bus stop alongside the trees were removed' (plural/singular agreement). While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and correct passive voice construction.
