IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The two maps illustrates various changes made to a city hospital between the years 2007 and 2010.
One of the major development that the hospital underwent was the expansion of space assigned for a bus stop and car park for staff and public.
In the year 2010, a new public car park was constructed to the east side of the city hospital, that opened inward to the left of the Ring Road .
Along with that, a bus station was constructed on the left of the hospital road, connected at both junctions of the road that were developed into two roundabouts connecting the rong road and the city road.
To the right of the hospital road, a car park for staff and public in 2007 was designated specifically for the hospital staff.
Overall, it is clear that the hospital underwent multiple expansions including new and better space for parking and travel.
