The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the clear difference between road access to a city hospital in two different years. It is clear that the road has changed considerably with the introduction of new facilities in 2010.

Looking at the maps in more details, it can be seen clearly that city hospital had access to road from south side in 2007, while it can be accessed from two sides; south and east in 2010. Moreover, the past road had six bus stops, three on each side but it was changed in 2010, including the staff car parking on right side and the bus station on left side, while it had public car park on east side of hospital.

In 2007, the hospital road was almost straight connected to city road but in 2010, two roundabouts were added on the roads. One was built on city road connecting it to the hospital road and the bus station as well, but the other one was built on the hospital road that was connecting the hospital with the bus station and with the public car park as well.
