IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The two maps illustrate the road access to a city hospital between 2007 and 2010.

Overall, the road system improved during this period. The main changes were the construction of about two roundabouts a car parking and a bus stop. In addition a big change is made in the bus route.

In 2007 hospital was surrounded by the single ring road. Bus stop was in the east side that was little far from the hospital. One single road was going to the hospital crossing the public and staff parking together. Moreover, trees were both side of the hospital road.

In 2010. A huge changes were made in the hospital map. First and foremost construction about roundabouts Including Public and staff parking is seprated. Bus station is near the hospital road and have a separate way for it.. Old bus stop is changed at the place of roundabout.

Other facilities added too such as car parking was build on the east side of the road.The original parking was replaced by staff parking. Overall, the new construction of city hospital is well organised and well planned.
