IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The picture show the layout of a city and the road access to the city hospital in two different years 2007 and 2010.

Overall, there is change in the design of the road opposite to the hospital and some places are added in the map of 2010.

The long ring road around the hospital remained same, but a small circle shaped road is built to the front of the hospital called roundabout, for free flow of traffic. Similarly another roundabout is built as we travel to the south. There is no separate place for public to park their cars in 2007 they have to park their car along with the staff cars, but in 2010 a car park is allocated for public, right towards the east side to the hospital.

The place of the staff car park remained same. A bus station is constructed opposite to the staff car park, connecting the two roundabouts, and the bus stops were removed located in the either sides of the hospital road. The location of the hospital had no change.
