IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Both the maps depict information about the access entering the city hospital over a different span of time and contains information regarding the bus station, public car park and staff car park.
In the year 2007, city hospital has a ring road behind the main building on northern side and city road on the southern side. There was an common parking available for staff and public and 6 separate bus stops on the hospital road while the structure was completely changed in the year 2010 which contains separate parking for public as well as for staff and a whole bus station instead of separate bus stops. Also, there are two roundabout which is on the city road and between the staff parking and city hospital.
To conclude, we can say that the 2010 structure of the road access to city hospital is more structured than the one which was in the year 2007.
