The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The two maps illustrate the changes made to the road access to a city hospital between the years 2007 and 2010.

Overall, the hospital's road access was improved significantly over these years. The main changes included the construction of new roundabouts, bus station and car parking areas.

In 2007, there were simple road crossings, but in 2010, two roundabouts were constructed, one on the ring road around the hospital and the otherone on the city road and the hospital road. Previously, there were bus stops on both sides of hospital road and on the east side of the road, there was a car paking area for both the staff and the public.

However, in 2010, a new bus station was formed on the north side of the hospital road with access from both roundabouts. The car parking area, which was common for both the employees and the common people, was dedicated for staff parking space. A new parking area is generated on the east of city hospital for common people.
