Student answer (Band 5.0)
This diagram show the road access to hospital and some informations in 2007 and 2010.
Overall, the access to hospital in 2007 was very simple after that, In 2010 the access was more complex and usefull for the people. We saw a lot of modifications in 3 years.
In 2007, the entrance was straight and simple while the car parking for staff and public were same and there was not any bus station for people and the hospital was covered by the ring road. Which helped the paitent to easily enter and exit from the hospital. After 3 years in 2010 we had seen a lot of changes like 2 round abouts were added for the paitents foe easy entrence of paitents, A large bus station was installed which was attached between two round abouts and there was separate parking for both public and staff persons.
Generaly, in 2007 the city road was directly attached to the hospital road, while in 2010 a round about was added for easy enterence and also a bus station was added too.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student attempts to address the prompt by summarizing the main changes between the two maps of the city hospital in 2007 and 2010. While some key features are identified, such as the addition of roundabouts, a bus station, and separate staff and public car parks, the response contains several inaccuracies and vague statements. For example, stating that the hospital was 'covered by the ring road' or that the car parking for staff and public were the 'same' lacks precision. Furthermore, the overview is rather simplistic, and the information is presented with noticeable repetition and some colloquial or inappropriate commentary, such as 'usefull for the people' and 'We saw a lot of modifications'. Overall, the task is addressed only partially, warranting a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is organized into multiple paragraphs, including an introduction, body details, and a concluding remark. However, the logical progression is weak, and the overall structure is disjointed. The conclusion largely repeats information already stated in the body and introduction, such as mentioning the roundabout and bus station again ('Generaly, in 2007 the city road was directly attached to the hospital road, while in 2010 a round about was added...'). Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as 'after that', 'In 2010', and 'Which helped'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the flow between sentences can be abrupt and mechanical. This demonstrates the characteristics of Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical range is limited and frequently repetitive. Words like 'hospital', 'road', 'bus', 'car park', and 'added' are used multiple times in close proximity. There are also noticeable spelling errors throughout the text, including 'informations', 'usefull', 'paitent', 'round abouts', 'entrence', and 'Generaly'. Word choices are sometimes unnatural or imprecise for an academic report, such as 'staff persons' and 'straight and simple'. While the vocabulary is adequate to convey a basic meaning, the frequency of errors in word choice and spelling causes some difficulty for the reader, placing this at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent punctuation and capitalization errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters or inappropriate commas (e.g., 'after that, In 2010'). Several sentences run on or lack proper syntactic coordination, such as 'Which helped the paitent to easily enter and exit from the hospital.' Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also flawed in places (e.g., 'This diagram show', 'the car parking... were same'). Because frequent errors cause difficulty and limit the range of error-free structures, a score of 5.0 is appropriate.
