The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The maps illustrate how the road access to a city hospital changed between 2007 and 2010.

Overall, the road access to the city hospital underwent various changes, including the addition of a bus station and the sepration of staff and public car park. However, the construction of two roundabouts on the hospital road were the major changes.

In 2007, a hospital road was running from the south to the north. The south part of the hospital road was connected with the city road, which was running from the west to east. Meanwhile, the north part of the hospital road was connected with a ring road around the city hospital. The ring raod was entering into a staff and public car park.

In 2010, the location of the city hospital remained unchanged; however, the ring around the hospital and the city road were connected with the hospital road through roundabouts. A bus station was constructed on the south-west part of the hospital. The old car park was transformed into staff car park, while a new public car park was established on the east side of the hospital.
