IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The maps illustrates road to access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Overall, there wa new addition of public car park on the east of the city hospital. The roundabouts were also added on the hosiptal road. The smaller bus stands were replaced with a large bus station.

The six bus stands along the hospital road in south of city hosiptal replaced with a huge bus station. Opposite to that bus station, the car parking which was for both staff and public was assigned to staff only. The public parking was shifted to the east of city hospital. The public car park had much larger capacity for people to park their cars. Moreover, there was addition of the roundabouts on hospital road. The first roundabout connected city road with hospital road and had access to the bus sattion. The second roundabout was at the main entance of city hospital which was connected with the bus station and hospital road to the main entrance. This roundabout provided a smooth turn for vehicles so, they can be parked easily.
