The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The two maps compare the changes of road access to a city hospital between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, several dedicated parking spots were added around the city hospital in 2010. Before in 2007, there was a single space allocated to south of hospital for both the staff and the public for parking their cars. By 2010, the parking spots around the city hospital increased and well-structured by adding roundabouts to manage traffic. Moreover, there was an addition of dedicated zone for staff car park, public car park, and bus station stop.
In 2007, a single car parking space was available which was located to the south of the hospital. This space was shared by both the staff and the public. Bus stop was located slightly far from the hospital in the east.
Several new infrastructures were added in 2010 to make it easy for individuals to reach to hospital. Firstly, two roundabouts were added between the city road and city hospital, hospital road in the middle connected the two roundabout. To the east of the hospital road, the spot which was dedicated to both staff and the public, is now solely reserved for staff. Bus station is now closer to the hospital on west side of the hospital road. Public car space has been reallocated to the east of city hospital.
