The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The two maps illustrate the road access to a city hospital from the year 2007 to 2010.

Overall, the map of 2010 shows in detail the renovation and redesign of the previous city hospital. These have been some extensive changes made which comprises of a public car park, separated from the staff as in 2007 located at the eastern side of the hospital wall. Other modifications include two roundabouts, just at the middle of the southern side, joining hospital road. An adaptation to bus station at the south-east corner is also noted, connecting the road from both of its ends.

Firstly, there is a map of a city hospital in 2007, highlighting the infrastruction of a combined car parking used by both the staff and public. Public car park is constructed at the north-eastern sided wall of the hospital, whereas the staff car parking still owned the old place. Two roundabouts were also seen at each corner of the road. Additionally, a bus station also joined both the roundabouts available on the road straight to the city hospital, whereas, the old map describes that the bus stops were at the opposite sides of the road, facing the city road.
