IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram illustrates the difference of the road access and outdoor design of a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.
Overall a breif analysis reveals that, in two pictures, there were a hospital road, a city road, staff and pablic car parking outside in the hospital. But in three years, some major change has been showd in the second picture, like road access of the hospital has been changed in some way and some new things has been included there.
Looking at the diagram in more details, in 2007, the bus stop was the the eastern side of the hospital but after three years it relocated to the south-west part. In 2007, staff and public car park was in a same place on the southern part of the hospital, but in 2010 public car park has been moved to the eastern side of the hospital .
On the other hand, two roundabout has been placed on starting and ending part of the hospital road, that were linked with the bus station.
With regard to the final stage , in 2007 communication access was more complex than 2010. After some major changes in three years, roads, bustation and roundabout has been connected.
