The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The two maps illustrate the changes that took place at City hospital between 2007 and 2010.They show how the layout of hospital areas, including the roads, parking facilities and public transport, was modified during this period.

overall, the hospital area underwent significant changes between 2007 and 2010. The main developments included the construction of two roundabouts, the replacement of bus stops with bus station, and the separation of staff and public car parks.

In 2007, City hospital was surrounded by ring road, with hospital road connecting connecting city road to hospital road. There were 3 bus stops on each side of the hospital road, while a car parking for both staff and public are located in the east of the road.

by 2010, several changes has been made to the hospital areas. The three bus stop has been replaced by the bus station to the west of the hospital. Two roundabouts has been constructed, one on city road and other near to hospital entrance. The original car park has been divided into staff car park and bus station while the public car park is located in the east of the hospital.
