IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons wherever relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The map illustrates the access of road to a city hospital between the year 2007 and 2010.

Overall there have been quite a few changes, i.e the car park which was combined for staff and public has now been seperated. Also the bus stop which was located at some distance from the hospital in the east direction, is moved near the hopital in the South-west direction.

In 2007, the city hopital was sorrounded by ring road, There was a parking station near the entrace of the hopital, for both public and the staff. The hospital was connected to the City road, through hospital road. At some distance from the hospital, there was a bus top located to the North-east of the hospital.

In 2019, the staff car parking was in the same place, however the public car park was seperated and moved to the East side of the hospital with a seperate entrance. Two round abouts were added, one on the junction of the city road and hospital road and another at the junction of hospital road the the city hospital. The bus station, which was previously at some distance from the hospital was now moved closer to the hospital and is now located to the south of the hospital. It is also connected to both of the roundabouts of the hospital road
