Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially and presents some inaccuracies in reporting the visual data. While the student attempts to outline the main changes between 2007 and 2010, such as the division of parking facilities and the introduction of a new bus station, some details are confused or under-developed. For instance, the text mentions that the bus station was allocated in the 'eastern side of the hospital road', whereas the map clearly shows it on the western side. Additionally, the description of the road access contains inaccuracies, stating that a new public car park was set up in the 'northeren east site', when it is actually located east of Ring Road. The overview is somewhat limited and the key features of the layout transformation lack precision.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text demonstrates some overall organization with paragraph breaks used to separate the introduction, main features, and parking details. However, there is no clear overall progression and the logical flow is disrupted by mechanical and inadequate use of cohesive devices. Transitional phrases are basic or awkwardly applied, such as starting the final paragraph with 'Moreover, staff and public car parking area was for only allowed for staff'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical repetition of ideas creates a choppy structure that lacks smooth transitions between sentences and paragraphs.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'facilities of vehicle', 'settled down', and 'northeren east site'. Spelling mistakes like 'occured' and 'setteled' also detract from the quality of the writing. The student attempts to use less common vocabulary terms like 'allocated', 'junction', and 'designated', but inaccurate collocations and word formations reveal a lack of precise control over the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response exhibits a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside frequent faulty attempts at complex ones. There are numerous grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with passive voice and verb tenses (e.g., 'the parking access was tried to be well organized', 'There were no changed had been occured', and 'the bus used to park in the both side'). Article misuse, preposition errors inside grammatical patterns, and awkward phrasing are persistent and frequently cause difficulty for the reader, keeping the control of grammar at a basic level.
