In 2010, the hospital infrastructure was quite developed from 2007.In 2007, the car paring for both staff and public used to be near the bus stops which were east side of the hospital road, but in 2010 it was converted into only staff car park and the oublic car parking was shifted on the west side of the hospital.Similarly in 2007, there were numerous bus stops which used to be on either sides of the hospital road, but in 2010, it developed to a bus station on the east side of the hospital road.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify several important changes, including the conversion of the shared car park into a staff car park and the replacement of bus stops with a bus station. However, the account is only partially accurate and does not give a clear overview of the main changes. The public car park was added on the east side of the Ring Road, not shifted to the west, and the bus station is west of Hospital Road, not east. The final sentence is also unfinished, so the description of access changes is incomplete. To strengthen the response, summarise the overall transformation first, then report the locations and connections carefully, including the two roundabouts and the new public car park.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it moves from parking and bus facilities to road access, and uses time markers such as “In 2007” and “in 2010” to signal comparisons. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and the second paragraph ends abruptly with “one from hospital r,” leaving the final point unfinished. Several ideas are crowded into long sentences, while the link “Similarly” does not clearly express the relationship between the changes described. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and the main changes, and group related features together. Clearer linking phrases such as “By contrast” or “In addition” would help readers follow the comparisons.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “roundabouts,” “bus station,” “staff car park” and “entrance,” so the basic subject is clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spelling errors make parts difficult to understand: “car paring,” “oublic,” “developed to,” and “shifted on the west side” are inaccurate or unclear. “Infrastructure was quite developed” is also vague for describing specific map changes. Aim for precise verbs and location phrases, such as “was converted into,” “was relocated to,” and “to the west of Hospital Road.” Check spelling carefully and use the map labels consistently to avoid confusing east and west.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to compare the two years using both simple and longer sentences, for example, “In 2007, there were numerous bus stops…” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. In “the car paring … used to be near the bus stops which were east side,” the relative clause and location phrase are not well formed. The sentence beginning “In 2007, there was a straight and single road…” also contains awkward structure, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise forming clear comparison sentences with accurate articles, prepositions and past-tense verbs, and check that every sentence has a complete ending.
