Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the two years and give an overview that the site was developed, then mention changes to parking and bus facilities. These are relevant main features, and the distinction between staff and public parking is correctly noted. However, some important details are missing or unclear: the hospital itself did not expand, and the key road changes—two roundabouts at the ends of Hospital Road and the bus station’s connections—are not accurately explained. The 2007 layout is also described imprecisely: the shared car park was east of Hospital Road, rather than simply saying the hospital allowed parking. To strengthen the report, describe the locations and changes precisely and avoid unsupported claims such as improved access or facilities meeting people’s needs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear basic structure: an introduction, an overall statement, and separate paragraphs for 2007 and 2010. This makes the comparison easy to follow at a general level, and time markers such as “In 2007” and “in 2010” help organise the information. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and some links are awkward or unclear. For example, “While in 2010” does not form a clear contrast with the preceding paragraph, while “where allows” makes the relationship between the hospital, roads, and parking difficult to follow. Group the changes by feature—road layout, bus facilities, and parking—and use clear references to show how each feature changed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “ring road,” “bus stops,” “roundabout,” and “car park,” so the reader can identify the main subject matter. There is also an attempt to vary wording with “new introduction” and “divided.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions reduce precision, including “parking allots,” “expaned,” “facilties,” and “seperate entities.” Some combinations are unnatural, such as “available the bus station under the hospital road” and “by considering many factors.” Choose direct map-description language and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe a facility as being “located west of Hospital Road” rather than using an unclear phrase such as “under the hospital road.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the contrast introduced by “While” and the sentence beginning “Moreover.” The basic meaning is generally recoverable, but grammatical control is uneven. Examples include “the year between2007 and 2010,” where spacing and the time expression are faulty, and “the City hospital has expaned and introduce,” where the verb forms do not agree. In “the hospital is in the middle of the ring road and the City road, where allows,” the clause structure is incomplete and the reference is unclear. Tense also shifts between past and present when describing the two maps. Use consistent past-tense forms for the map years and build shorter, complete sentences before adding subordinate clauses.
