Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main transformation from bus stops to a bus station, the addition of roundabouts, and the separation of parking, and you provide an overall statement about redevelopment. These are relevant features and address the task. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: in 2007 the shared staff-and-public car park was east of Hospital Road, while in 2010 it became the staff car park; the new public car park was added east of Ring Road, rather than the existing public parking being “remove[d]” to that side. The claim that parking was “only provided for the employers” also conflicts with the 2007 label. To strengthen the summary, describe the locations and changes precisely, including the removal of individual bus stops and the new public car park’s access from Ring Road.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two sections organised by year. “Firstly” and “Secondly” help signal the sequence, and the reader can generally follow the comparison. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track because several changes are compressed into long sentences, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “Additionally, the public car parking was remove to the east side” does not clearly explain how this relates to the earlier shared car park. The final sentence also ends abruptly, leaving the comparison unfinished. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each change to its location and previous arrangement; ensure the response has a complete ending.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant map vocabulary, including “surrounded,” “roundabout,” “bus station,” and “car parking,” so the main subject is communicated. There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “infrastructure” and “redeveloped.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “development underwent in road to access,” “the ease increased,” and “crowed.” “Employers” is also not the right term for people using the staff car park, and “public car parking was remove” obscures the actual change. Aim for precise, conventional phrases such as “road access was improved,” “bus stops were replaced by a bus station,” and “staff and public parking were separated.” Check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a clause beginning “as they…”. Nevertheless, errors in agreement, tense, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some statements difficult to interpret. Examples include “maps shows,” “infrastructure were redeveloped,” and “the roundabout were constructed”; singular and plural subjects need matching verbs. The phrase “the bus stop were converted” also incorrectly suggests the stops themselves became a station. There are missing or misplaced punctuation marks, as in “parked.Staff,” and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate past-tense descriptions and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete ending.
