Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main kinds of change: the new roundabouts, the bus station replacing the stops, and the separation of parking for staff and the public. The comparison between the shared car park in 2007 and the later arrangement is relevant, but the response ends before explaining that the new public car park is on the east side of Ring Road and the existing car park becomes staff-only. The overview also says the hospital area was redeveloped, but could state the overall changes more precisely. The response is 141 words, below the required 150, and this contributes to the incomplete account. Add the missing parking details and a fuller overview to cover the key features more completely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and a chronological description of the changes. Phrases such as “Overall,” “In 2007,” and “By 2010” help signal the sequence. However, the account is compressed into one main paragraph after the overview, and the final sentence stops at “this arrangement,” leaving the comparison unfinished and disrupting progression. Some links between ideas are also mechanical, particularly the repeated time markers. Organise the details into separate paragraphs for road and bus changes and for parking, then complete each comparison. This would make the information easier to follow and improve the overall progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant map vocabulary, including “road system,” “roundabouts,” “bus station,” and “car park,” and the reader can generally understand the intended changes. However, spelling errors are noticeable, for example “underwant,” “chnages,” “introducition,” “seperate,” and “arrengment.” There are also inaccurate or incomplete expressions, such as “the seperate car for staff and for public,” which does not clearly name the two parking areas, and “original bus stop” where the plural is needed. These errors limit precision and sometimes make the reader pause. Check spelling carefully and use established terms such as “separate car parks” and “bus stops” to describe the map features accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of sentence forms, including the overview sentence beginning “Overall” and comparisons introduced by “In 2007” and “By 2010.” Most of the intended meaning is recoverable, but grammatical errors recur. For example, “particularly in terms road layout” is missing a necessary preposition, while “several bus stop were located” has a plural-agreement error. The sentence “In 2010, this arrengment” is incomplete, so the final comparison has no finished clause. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in phrases such as “connected city road to the hospital.” Practise complete comparative sentences, check singular and plural agreement, and proofread each sentence for missing grammatical words.
