Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main direction of change: parking was reorganised, bus facilities changed, and roundabouts were added. The overview also helps the reader understand the maps as a modernization. However, several details are inaccurate or unclear. The ring road already surrounded the hospital on three sides in 2007, so saying it was built by 2010 misrepresents the change. The 2007 transport facilities were individual bus stops, not a bus station, and in 2010 these were replaced by a bus station west of Hospital Road. You mention the two roundabouts but do not clearly explain that they are at the Ring Road and City Road junctions. More precise comparisons of these key features would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, a summary of the main changes, and paragraphs describing the two years. The time markers “In 2007” and “By 2010” make the sequence easy to follow, and the overview gives the reader a useful guide to the report. Some connections between details are less clear, however. The 2010 sentence beginning “A ring road build around…” combines several changes without showing their relationships, while “For traffic flow two roundabout are introduced” is separated from the locations that would clarify the comparison. Use one paragraph for the 2007 layout and another for the 2010 changes, grouping roads, parking and bus facilities in a consistent order. This would strengthen progression and reduce abrupt transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt relevant topic vocabulary, including “structural development,” “transport modification,” “parking facilities,” and “traffic flow,” which shows an effort to describe changes rather than simply list map labels. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice sometimes make the description less precise: “infrstructural” and “expension” are misspelled, and “bus station” is used for the 2007 bus stops. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “a shared parking facility are separated.” Choose established map-description terms and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe the parking as “divided into separate staff and public car parks,” and use “bus stops” and “bus station” only for the features shown in the relevant year. This would improve precision and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some longer structures, including “The notable change is…” and “For traffic flow two roundabout are introduced…,” so there is an attempt to vary sentence forms. However, errors in verb forms, articles, agreement and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “hospital undergo significant modernization,” “A ring road build,” and “two roundabout are introduced”; these need past-tense verbs and plural agreement. The opening phrase “between 2007 to 2010” also uses an incorrect preposition pattern. Practise forming accurate past-tense comparisons, such as “By 2010, two roundabouts had been added,” and check each sentence for a subject, a correctly inflected verb, and appropriate articles.
