The two maps illustrates how the city hospital changes over the period of time between 2007 to 2010.

Overall, there are many changes happend in hospital road ,carpark, city road and bus stop in 2010.

Firstly, the bustop in the 2007 was present in outside the hospital in the north east side, now it was changed to the below side of the city hospital. Previously in 2007, the car park for staff and public is same in above the city road , now it changed to completely staff park and the public car park shifted to side of the city hospital.

Secondly, the hospital road is straight in the previous in 2007 and now it was converted into ring road with both the ends of the hospital road. Thirdly, the roundabout was installed newly in the 2014. Finally there are are many changes happens in the 2010 compared to the 2007.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify that the maps show changes between 2007 and 2010 and mention the car parks, bus facilities and road layout, so the response is relevant to the task. However, the overview is vague (“there are many changes”) and several details are inaccurate or unclear. The bus stops were removed and replaced by a bus station west of Hospital Road, not moved to the south-east of the hospital. Hospital Road did not become a ring road; roundabouts were added at its junctions with Ring Road and City Road. The new public car park is east of Ring Road, while the existing car park became staff-only. To strengthen the report, give a clear overview of these main changes and describe locations precisely, without introducing 2014.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence, using “Overall,” “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally,” and it attempts to separate an overview from details. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the overview lists several areas without summarising the main transformation, and the later points do not build into a reliable comparison of the two maps. Some linking phrases are repetitive or mechanical, while “Finally there are are many changes” repeats the general point rather than adding information. References such as “it” and “the below side” also make locations difficult to follow. Organise the report into a concise overview followed by grouped comparisons—for example, road changes and transport facilities—using clear references to each year.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “car park,” “bus stop,” “Hospital Road,” and “roundabout,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the map details hard to understand. “Bustop” should be written as “bus stop,” and “staff park” is less precise than “staff car park.” Phrases such as “changed to the below side” and “converted into ring road” do not express the intended locations or changes naturally. Aim for precise map language such as “to the west of,” “was replaced by,” and “was designated for staff use.” Check spelling and use standard compound forms consistently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts a few longer sentences, including “Previously in 2007, the car park for staff and public is same…,” but the structures are often faulty, and most sentences rely on simple patterns. Errors in tense, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur frequently: “The two maps illustrates” needs subject–verb agreement, while “changes happend” and “the roundabout was installed newly in the 2014” contain tense or article problems. The sentence about Hospital Road also has an unclear grammatical relationship between the road and the roundabouts. Use past simple consistently for the 2007 and 2010 changes, and practise accurate comparison structures such as “In 2010, the shared car park became a staff car park, while a separate public car park was added.”
